So-called one-pot pasta dishes are becoming more and more popular, and that makes perfect sense, because the advantages are obvious: they’re often made quickly with just one pot that you don’t wash much afterward and because the noodles are cooked perfectly in the sauce, they’re always incredibly creamy. This also applies to this delicious recipe with peas.

Delicious pasta recipe with peas

Here’s how it works: For a creamy pasta pot with peas, chop the onion first and fry in a little olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

After about a minute, add the frozen peas, season with salt and pepper, and simmer with the lid on for eight minutes. Keep stirring every now and then.

Now take the saucepan off the stove for a moment, take the hand mixer and blend about half of a pea into a puree. If this is too confusing for you, you can also put half a pea from the pot in a bowl, mash it there and then pour it back into the pot. No problem either, but then you also have to wash the extra bowl.

Put the pot with the mashed and unmashed peas back on the stove, add the uncooked pasta, and add a pinch of salt and 2 tablespoons of hot water to the boiling water.

Cover the saucepan with the lid again, stirring frequently, adding hot water if necessary until the pasta is fully cooked.
