Frankfurt soup with sausage – what initially appears as a little-known recipe for German home cooking actually originally comes from the Czech Republic. We will introduce you to the most delicious soup in more detail.
This is how it is done:
- In the first step, cut the Frankfurter sausage into slices and set it aside for now.
- Peel and finely chop the onion. Melt the clarified butter in a large soup pot and saute the onions until translucent. Add 4 tablespoons of flour and stir until the roux is formed. Now add the tomato paste, let it roast for a while and remove everything with the beef broth. Leave it to simmer on medium heat.
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces, then add them to the soup. Season everything with paprika, salt and pepper. Peel the garlic cloves and press them into the soup using a press.
- Once the potatoes are almost cooked, add the sausage slices to the soup and heat. Then it can already be served. Season the soup again to taste and garnish with parsley, then divide it into four plates. enjoy your meal
