Potato soup with bean pods

Ingredients for 4 people.

40 pcs of crushed potatoes
1/2 kilo of beans
1 onion
Some sprigs of marjoram
2 dl whipped cream
10 Dag Bacon
1 liter vegetable soup
pepper mill


1. Peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into cubes. Finely chop the onion. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large saucepan. Fry onions and cut potatoes for a short time. Pour into soup and cook for 20 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, chop the beans into very small pieces. Mash the potatoes with a fork. Pour 1 dl cream. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. The mixture is boiled. Add the beans and continue to cook over low heat until the vegetables are tender.

3. Cut the bacon into very small cubes and fry in a pan without fat until crispy. Label the kitchen paper. Pluck the marjoram from the stems. Beat the remaining cream until creamy and mix it with the soup with marjoram just before serving. Serve and sprinkle bacon on top.
