Chicken soup helps with colds! You’ve probably heard it a lot and maybe tried it. But is this really true? In fact, many scientists have dealt with well-tried home remedies among others. You need these components:

  • 1 kg of chicken thighs
  • 200 grams of celery
  • 200g carrots
  • 100 grams of shallots
  • 80 grams of onions
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 bundle parsley
  • To insert:
  • 120 g carrots
  • 120gm noodle soup
  • Parsley, as desired

Preparation is very easy:

  1. To prepare chicken soup: Rinse chicken thighs with cold water and place in a large saucepan.
  2. Clean, wash, peel and chop the carrots and celery. Clean, wash the leeks and cut them into rings. Peel the onions and cut into slices. Put the vegetables in the pot.
  3. Add the bay leaf, salt, peppercorns, and a whole bunch of parsley.
  4. Charge with cold water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 80 minutes, until chicken is tender.
  5. Remove chicken thighs from the broth and leave to cool slightly. Pour the broth through a strainer into another saucepan and set the vegetables aside with the seasonings (they won’t be needed anymore). Remove the chicken skin, cut into small pieces, and set aside.
  6. To insert: Clean, wash, peel and cut the carrots into small cubes. Add the chopped carrots and noodles soup to the sifted broth and simmer for 15 minutes until the noodles are tender. Put the chicken back into the soup and heat it up.
  7. Serve with a sprinkle of parsley if you like.
